Leading the Evolution of Guns and Mental Health

This isn’t just a bold headline. It’s the reality of the work we’ve been trusted to lead.

Since 2020, we’ve helped shape a new, effective conversation around firearms and mental health. Our work is built on trust, cultural awareness, and shared goals. We’ve led the marketing and business development for Walk the Talk America, an organization founded by gun industry professionals to create innovative solutions that reduce negative outcomes from firearms and promote mental health within the firearms community.

In 2024, The Armory Project hired us to assist in marketing their initiatives to expand voluntary, temporary firearm storage options in Arkansas and Louisiana, empowering gun owners to make responsible, lifesaving choices during difficult times.

This may sound like a big statement, but the truth is: this perspective didn’t exist before our work. Before 2020, mental health professionals and gun owners often operated in entirely separate spaces, using language and approaches that alienated rather than connected. We’ve helped bridge that gap with messaging that respects both sides and works.

The Armory Project

Expanding Access to Voluntary Firearm Storage

The Armory Project (TAP) equips communities with the knowledge and tools to offer temporary, voluntary gun storage as a suicide prevention measure.

We redesigned TAP’s national toolkit, a 90-page resource for other communities looking to provide similar services in their communities. The main improvements we made in this version were updating its design and helping define the organization’s core message.

As the initiative evolves, we’re working to make the toolkit more modular and audience-specific, helping local leaders implement life-saving solutions in their communities.
